West Virginia Whitewater Rafting

Whitewater rafting is more than simple rafting. It is much more extreme. But don't worry, special safety features make whitewater rafting a safer recreational sport. Usually, adventure activities have some degree of risk, and whitewater rafting does as well. However it is one of the safest one of adventure sports. Additionally, outfitters use modern equipment with many safety features and they are trained in safety and first-aid practices.

West Virginia whitewater rafting, known as America's best whitewater, features the New River and the Gauley River - set in the rugged Appalachian Mountains. These rivers offer plenty of opportunities in addition to rafting: swimming, kayaking, fishing expeditions, etc.

The New River Gorge area is rich in history and culture. It flows North from the mountains of western North Carolina and it reaches the 'Grand Canyon of the East', the New River Gorge in West Virginia.

The New River took millions of years to carve this incredible gorge filled with breathtaking scenery, rich history and exciting whitewater rafting. Dependable and consistent year round water flows and exciting rapids like Surprise, Railroad and The Keeney Brother have made New River rafting a whitewater classic.

You can go rafting all the year, but you have to know it means a different challenge in every season. In springtime the river is full of big waves, only those with courage and adrenaline lovers try whitewater rafting in spring. This is class V, which means 'very challenging'.

Summer is for those who like cozy circumstances and who would like to enjoy scenery, instead of shouting and flinging among waves. It also means warm water, so you can swim and enjoy sunshine, too.

If you go in autumn, you'll love the colors of the nature. Another advantage of this season is that it is less crowded in autumn. So any time is a great time to experience whitewater rafting.

It doesn't matter if you are a beginner. There are many sections that are suitable for first-time rafters. Start with easy level, and you won't have any problem. Additionally, anybody can try whitewater rafting, even children, pensioners or coach potatoes. So there is no excuse!

Learn With The Stars Through Table Tennis Dvd

Table tennis has become one of the most popular sports in modern times. And its ever-increasing recognition is a direct result of how it has captivated the interests of people worldwide. What is great about table tennis is anyone can learn the sport without much formal training and coaching. Aside from books and the Internet, the sport can be learned with the convenience of table tennis DVD copies.

Countless passionate players, greenhorns, veterans or just plain fans of the sport have been fascinated, dazzled and motivated to be involved in table tennis through the skills and dedication of table tennis athletes around the world captured and shown via table tennis DVD copies. With footages of exciting matches now in DVD copies, the spread of table tennis as a major sport is unstoppable. Through DVD copies, table tennis has broke free from the allusions of being just a miniature sport; today, it is indeed as big as any sport.

Nonetheless, table tennis DVD copies have more benefits to bring to interested individuals than to the glory of the sport as a whole. DVD copies become a tool not only to amaze onlookers but also to teach them and ultimately involve them in the sport. Now, ordinary folks can learn the intrinsic techniques of playing table tennis by merely pointing and clicking the remote control and in the coziness of their homes too. In fact, table tennis DVD copies have become important accessories in the training programs not only for beginners but for world-class veterans of the sport as well; here are the reasons why.

Allows Playback

Table tennis, much like any other sport, can be perfected through countless repetitions of techniques and strategies. A table tennis DVD is an effective training tool because it allows a player to playback any important lessons revealed in a DVD copy. Through repetitive watching, information or lessons from the DVD can be permanently absorbed into the player's mind. This will allow any lessons learned to become a part of the player's instinct for the game.

Cheaper Than Coaching

Mostly costing less than a hundred dollars, table tennis DVD's are a cheaper alternative in table tennis training. Hiring coaches and enrolling at table tennis clubs can cost much more. This is not to mean, however, that training through table tennis DVD's should replace actual training with expert coaches and actual practices with formidable opponents. What table tennis DVD's can do is to minimize expensive sessions with coaches in exclusive training clubs.

Advantageous Functions Of DVD Format

Like other types of data stored in DVD format, table tennis modules in this format have additional features that can accelerate a beginner's learning period. DVD's store a lot more information than other media devices. And it can be made with other features like commentaries from expert table tennis players and luminaries. DVD functions also allow multi-angle functions, where one can watch a particular stroke at different angles, and this is on top of the clearest visual quality unique to DVD copies.

Indeed, table tennis DVD copies have changed the way that the sport is publicized. With more information and features than older media devices like VHS, table tennis DVD copies can allow anybody to learn how to play table tennis from the basic strokes to Olympic-class performance as table tennis DVD's normally come with three-dimensional animation that can anatomize the moves of featured table tennis stars.

The Weekend Golfers Short Game

If you're like me, a weekend warrior golfer, then no doubt you struggle with your game from about 50 feet out into the green. Every time I hit my 2nd (or 3rd shot on a par 5) into the green and land it forty to sixty feet away I cringe at the thought of having to make a chip shot to land with in two putt range from the pin.

For most beginner to intermediate golfers chipping is a very difficult part of their game. This is for two reasons, it does require quite a bit of skill and we don't practice it enough. What's the number one thing most recreational golfers practice? Their drive right, we spend hours on end at the driving range trying straighten out our drives, get a few more yards out of it. Yet if we spent only half that time working on our short game we'd see amazing results in lower scores and increased accuracy.

Up to two thirds of our game is played in and around the green, yet most holes only have one drive (unless you put it in the woods or a water hazard), and of course par threes don't even require a wood or long iron. Yet we continue to practice our drive, and not work on chipping.

I have a few theories about this, chipping isn't as glamorous as using your driver, not as many people see you chipping as they do off the tee box so you want to look good for others, and you can't brag that well about a perfect chip to putt in for par as you can about your 250 yard drive on number 7 this morning. How ever the smart amateur golfers will heed my warning when I say, practice makes perfect in golf, and practicing chipping and learning the skills needed to make chip shots consistently will reduce your handicap.

So what do you need to know to make great chip shots. The first thing is your skill set, know what your capable of don't try to be super man recognize what you can and cannot do. For most beginner golfers using a hybrid club or fairway wood is best it allows you to keep good control of the ball and be consistent. If you're a golfer in the high eighties or low nineties give your 8-iron a try, it's a little more technical to chip the ball and roll it but with practice it can be mastered.

What so many of us do is go right for our pitching wedge, or sand wedge and try to flop the ball perfectly on the green and we end of sending it flying over the green, off to the side, or only 10 feet in front of us. Those clubs should be restricted to golfers under 80 to perfect. Again know your skill set, and practice practice practice. Remember spending time on that two thirds of your game will pay off.

Well, too many people have mistaken their old jet skis for nothing but trash. You see, once your jet ski fails to function the way it does when it was new, it is surely calling your attention for some repairs.

You need not buy new equipments or replace the entire jet ski itself. All you need are tools, gadgets and the knowledge of repairing the jet ski. Yet you can always have the option for having it professionally done.

Whichever you prefer, there is one thing that you must always keep in mind- you have to find that later in the process, the repair of your jet ski meets your expectations or even exceed them.

It's easy to find a repair center for your jet ski. Yet the question always lie on the quality of work they could render.

As we may have noticed, quality is not a quantitative subject to deal with. We always have different variations for defining quality. It may be a good work for some but may actually appear the other way around for other people. Now, you have to set it yourself. What must qualify to your assessment of quality and what will not.

Does quality mean a simple good work based on the knowledge that your jet ski works after the repair or does it lie to the craftsmanship that is done to your vehicle? Is quality something you must see performing or is it the length of performance that it can provide?

These are basic questions actually but they would largely determine the outcomes of work and your contentment on the wok incurred in your precious jet ski.

This aspect is practically a personal preference and confidence. Only you, as the owner and customer could set and demand the boundaries of "quality".

Then what may be safer option to help create the quality that you like. Well then choose it.

People who work in high paying industries have in general, create the highest quality there is. Obviously, this is because they have trained for it and have spent most of their lives improving their craft.

You get what you pay for they say. Be assured, this applies even in the world of jet ski repair.

Ping Pong Is All About The Grip

Ping pong or table tennis is a very fast game. As the tiny plastic ball is driven from one side to the other side of the table at lightning speed, a player has a fraction of a second to react and propel the ball back to his or her opponent; indeed it is an ultimate test of agility and body coordination. Playing ping pong requires excellent footwork and body positioning. But more than the stance, a player needs to have an excellent grip on the racket to attain better performance.

There are many ways to grip the ping pong racket. As each style of grip can impact the way an individual plays the game, it may well be a factor that can determine if a player has the advantage in a match and therefore predict the outcome of the game as well. The following are the different grip styles in ping pong that players, new and old, can use to increase the chances of shining in the game.

The Shakehand Grip

The shakehand grip in ping pong is a way of holding the racket in a way that is similar to shaking a person's hand. The shakehand grip is common between ping pong players coming from western countries because it approximates the kind of grip used in tennis which originated in the west.

In general, a shakehand grip gives more power in the player's strokes. It locks the racket firmly in hand and takes force from the wrists. The shakehand grip is effective for forehand and backhand maneuvers as it allows more control. The disadvantage for this type of grip, however, comes from the locked and inflexible wrists it affords, which ironically is the same source from which it takes its power. An inflexible wrist can limit a player's adjustment to the opponent's strokes.

The Penhold Grip

The penhold grip in ping pong means gripping the racket handle much like holding a pen or any other writing instrument for that matter. The penhold grip is common among ping pong players from the east, particularly Asian countries. The penhold allows a more flexible wrist and therefore great for serves and forehands. It allows the player to adjust to the opponent's tactics more freely.

There are variations in penhold grip style. While penhold is generally pertained to as the Chinese grip, it has Japanese and other minor styles. But commonly, this style makes use of the index finger and the thumb. The three remaining fingers are either curled or spread at the backside of the blade. This manner of holding the racket means players using the penhold grip can only use one side of the blade; the backside, which is where the three other fingers are hidden, is rarely used.

Other Grips

There are other ping pong grips available, but these are minor ones and are rarely used by players. One is the seemiller grip where the racket is held just like a shakehand grip except in the way that the thumb and the index finger are gripping the sides of the blade rather than the handle. Another type of grip is the V grip where the index and middle fingers, formed into a V, are gripping the edge of the blade that is nearest the handle.

Ping pong introduces a variety of ways to grip the racket. The important thing to remember is that the final say in finding the ultimate grip can only come from the player. As they say in ping pong, different grips for different folks.

Getting A Custom Low Rider Bike

A low rider bike is a great choice for most people. It is fun to customized, as well.

Among all of the bicycle styles that are available, one is becoming more and more popular. Custom low rider bikes are a wonderful way to make a visual statement and they are comfortable and fun to ride. They have been around for many years. The first low rider was rode during the 1960's television show, 'The Munsters', and they have only gained popularity from their debut. The first low rider that was customized was by George Barris. It is a bike that has been copied many times and it is the one that moved them into the popularity that they have today.

Style is the major consideration of a low rider enthusiast. It is quite normal for a low rider lover to spend more than $4000 customizing their low rider, because it is considered an extension of their personality. There are many different ways that you can customize your low rider, including custom sound systems, rims, whitewall tires, and upholstery to make it into the bike of your dreams. Some of the more fancy bikes quickly become an art statement with the handpainting and technologically advanced features. You will find that they quickly become more than just a way to get around time, they become an extension of your personality.

Many people who ride low rider bikes quickly find that they become a lifestyle for them. They design, create, and ride their custom low rider to ride with their club or to ride by themselves. Low rider clubs are sprouting up all over the country to enable people to share information about low rider bikes and to show them off to each other. This is a great way for you to get ideas for your own bike and to meet people who enjoy them as much as you do.

If you are new to low rider bikes, then you will find that you have many different options for your first bike. You can choose to build one all by yourself if you want. This can cost you around $200. Customizing Your Road Bike

Customizing your road bike is a great way to show your personality and imagination. As you customize your road bike, you will find that you are using it as an extension of your personality.

You will find that no other bike is like one that is customized for you. It is the right fit for your body, including the right weight, height, and feel, and it is made with the right parts and components. A customized bike will be more expensive, but it will be well worth the money because it will ride better and be more comfortable.

One of the first things that you need to decide upon is the top tube. If you have a longer torso, then you will want a bicycle with a longer top tube. You can choose to get a handlebar stem that is longer, but if you do this, then you will need to sit so that your weight will be focused on the front wheel. This may affect the control and handling of your bike, so you may not want to do this. Choosing a bike with a longer top tube would be a much better choice for you.

Woman may find that longer top tubes are not very comfortable because it may cause them to have to stretch to reach the handlebar. This may cause them to turn the stem backwards or they can choose to get a seat post that is longer and a bike stem that can be raised higher.

Bicycles come in a few standard heights. The shorter height is approximately 47 cm and the taller height is 63 cm. You may find that some of the bicycle manufacturers make bikes that are 40 cm for women to ride, but the tubing is usually of a standard size, which makes the ride uncomfortable. To determine which height fits you the best, you will need to try out several of the bikes.

The frame is one consideration, but the handlebar can have a big impact upon the bike's feel as well. The handlebar needs to be at the right depth and width so that it feels right and so that you can control the bike properly. It should be comfortable to ride during races and long distance rides as well. A 73-degree angle is the optimum angle for the head and seat tube for maximum stability.

You will also find that parts like hubs, the headset, bottom bracket, and the seat post are also important facets of your bike. By choosing more lightweight features, you will find that your bike is easier to control and it will go much faster.

Now that you have a bike that fits your body and your needs, you can also add in your personality to aesthetically make it into the bike of your dreams. Adding your own personal touches can be the most fun part of customizing your bike.

It sounds like a dream to have the bike that you have always wanted, but it can cost you quite a bit of money if you are not careful. The fitting costs and special components can cost quite a bit and add in the cost of assembling this custom bike and you could be looking at quite a bill. By making your decisions carefully, you will be able to get the bike that you want and that fits your budget.

The Increased Popular Of Chopper Lowrider Bikes

Lowrider bikes are a great deal of fun to ride and enjoy. You can customize it to express your individuality.

Have you seen the lowrider bikes that have become so popular? They instantly catch your eye because they are uniquely designed and look so cool, don't they? They are a big statement that people make and some people connect them with the hip urbanites, but they really appeal to almost anyone-no matter what your age. They not only give you the opportunity to express your personality, but they are also a very comfortable, fun ride, too. Their popularity has become so big, that you can easily find clubs that concentrate on the lifestyle of having a chopper bike.

Where did lowrider bikes come from? They were first seen in the 1960's in California. They were not a mass-produced bike that was being made by the large companies, but they were made by teenagers who were trying to copy the customized motorcycle of the time by combining components from several different bikes. This was to show their individuality. One bicycle manufacturer noticed this new style, however, and began to make their own version of the chopper lowrider bike. This company was Schwinn and in 1963, they introduced the Stingray model, which began the love affair that many people have with this bike.

Now lowrider bikes are even more popularity, due to the increased interest in all things retro. Many people love them simply because they bring back memories of happier and simpler times for them. One of the companies who first made lowrider bikes, Raleigh, has updated the chopper lowrider bike for today and they are very popular. Some chopper enthusiasts are choosing to build their own lowriders and customize them to make them into the bike of their dreams. You can find lowrider bikes with all types of customization, including intricate paint jobs, ornaments, and even upholstery, which has made some of these choppers into an art statement.

If you are new to the chopper lowrider world, you will find that there is a great variety of different bikes available for you to purchase in all different price ranges and styles. You can choose an "off the rack" style that you can customize yourself or you can choose to have one built for you from the ground up to your specifications. A custom built chopper bike may be m

What Kind Of Golf Club Travel Bag Do You Need

A golf club travel bag is designed to protect your golf clubs, so that should be your first consideration. You can get a hard or a soft variety, the harder providing a greater degree of protection than the soft type, but also costing a good bit more. The softer bags tend to be lighter and easier to carry around.

Think of the Value of your Golf Clubs

You have to consider the cost of your golf clubs. Not just the cost if fact, but the value of them to you which could be beyond cost. If you are used to playing with a particular set it is sometimes a testing time for your whole golf game if you have to change them because of damage. They may also have some sentimental value, and these are all considerations you must take into account when deciding on how much you want to spend protecting them while traveling.

Another thing to take into account is the amount of travel you carry out. The more you travel the better the travel bag you should have. The type of travel is also a determining factor. Whereas a cheaper soft travel bag might be fine for you if you drive to your local course two or three times a week, you might need a top flight hard travel case if you are traveling on the pro golf circuit, or if you vacation abroad once or twice a year and take your clubs with you.

Some Soft Cases are Good for Air Travel

You can get soft travel bags that are quite good enough for air travel, and there are golfers who prefer this option due to the lightness and ease of moving them around terminals along with the rest of their luggage. Other prefer the extra protection the hard cases provide to customized clubs that could cost many thousands of dollars to replace, even though they are bulkier and not so easy to handle.

The hard travel cases usually strap the golf bag very securely into the case, and are provided with a good set of wheels that can take the weight without sticking. They are also more suitable for using as overnight cases, and you can pack all your clothing and other accoutrements that are required for a couple of days away from home. This can save you carrying an extra suitcase.

You can use many soft golf club cases as regular golf bags, and use them on the course. Many can be fixed to carts or buggies, allowing you to keep your golf bag protected inside them while playing. You can specify this option when you purchase, and you can also have your travel bag customized to your specifications in the same way that you can with a regular golf bag.

All the Big Makers provide Golf Club Travel Bags

All the big makers provide a range of travel bags and cases, and many are made specifically to fit their own golf bags. So if you have a Bag Boy golf bag, for instance, you can get a Bag Boy travel bag made to suit it. Not just for color, but exactly for size for maximum protection. Most manufacturers do this.

Decide what kind of golf travel bag you need to match your specific requirements, and make a decision from that. Don't go just for the best looking, but get the most functional. That is one that gives you the best degree of protection in the price range you are looking for, and the size and weight that suits you.

Fishing. Why Water Temperatures Are So Important

Fishing is a lot of fun if you are catching fish, but if you are just sitting with your line in the water and getting no bites it can be frustrating and boring.

If you are interested in spring fishing and want your best shot of catching a lot of fish then you need to learn a little bit about water temperature. Basically, fish like crappie and bass like to be in warmer water and when they are about to spawn this is especially so.

When you know how the fish react and what they are looking for in regards to water temperature then you will have a good idea of how to find them!

The weather also affects water temperature so you need to keep this in mind, too. If you are interested in catching crappie then you should know that they spawn when the temperature is between 60 and 65 degrees. The male crappies will be in the 60 degree water first and will prepare the beds for the female crappies to spawn.

The female crappies wont start coming into the shallower water until it is around 64 degrees. So if you are fishing during the spring in a water temperature of about 60 and you catch a crappie it is most definitely a male! It is also important to keep in mind that crappies spawn over a period of time, not all at once. The spawning period may last up to six weeks.

Bass like it a little warmer when they spawn and wait for water temperatures of 65 to 70 degrees. The premise is the same as with crappies. Bass come into the shallow waters around 65 and 67 degrees and prepare the beds for the females. Then, when the water temperature hits 69 to 70 degrees the females will start making their way to the warmer, shallower water in order to spawn.

The spring months of April and May are the perfect times for bass to spawn and you will have plenty of luck fishing in shallow waters.

Keep in mind, too, where the water temperature varies within a lake or pond. If the area has lots of trees, limbs, and the like under the water then the water will be warmer and more fish will congregate there. Open water is cooler and not as many fish will be out there, making your fishing attempts really difficult. Shallow water is always warmer than deep water and where you will have a better chance of catching a fish.

Also, after a rain watch where the water drains into the lake or pond. If it was warm rain water then you can count on the fish finding that area and camping out. As long as you know how to find the area in the lake or pond that is the warmest then you will have the best chances of catching plenty of fish.

The above tips should help you tremendously in this effort.

Leading Manufactures Offering More Choice

The leading manufacturers have taken the options for Irons beyond a simple "players club" or "game improvement iron". They now offer variations in between, increasing your choice. That means that you need to take more care when purchasing your clubs and we need to evolve the fitting process.

A fundamental part of the PGA apprenticeship is learning how to 'fit' golfers both from 'static' measurements (your dimensions, posture etc) AND from 'dynamic measurement'. The dynamic measurement is critical. Static measurements give us a base, but watching a golfer's swing, measuring swing speed, tracking ball flight (trajectory and shape) and assessing ball striking capability enables us to 'fit' precisely the solution that will be right for you.

The process of fitting to a 'solution that works for you' has also changed. Whereas in the bygone days we would (and are properly trained to) alter the club head to create the perfect trajectory and a more consistent shot shape, there is now, because of the range of options each manufacturer offers, an additional step in the process.

These different models each create quite different characteristics to alter ease of launch, launch trajectory, spin rate (including side spin), size of sweet spot and even the inclination of the club to square up at impact.

In the fitting process we need to evaluate those options and their benefit to, and impact on, your game. And that isn't just about where your game is now, but where it is likely to be in the short-term. From that evaluation we can then help you make an investment that will deliver results now and in the future.

The Touring Pro's, who take this 'dynamic fitting' process as seriously as you should, do not select the same options despite their obviously similar ball striking quality.

Padraig Harrington last year spent time trying out all the Wilson options, measuring precisely the difference that each model delivered and then working out which was the best option for his game. The results are very interesting and just prove how much of a difference fitting your equipment (both dimensions, settings AND model) to your game will make.

For expert advice on fitting the correct irons for your game visit your local PGA Golf Professional.

Flexibility And Strength In Martial Arts

Flexibility is the range of movement that you have in your joints. Some say that this definition should only apply if there is no exterior help to move the joint, but this is not correct. If your joints have a greater degree of movement when aided by an external force, then that degree of movement defines the flexibility.

Hence, if you strengthen you muscles, and these act as the external force, then the flexibility of your joints will allow a greater range of movement than were your muscles unable to exert that degree of force.

To put it simply, if you have a great degree of flexibility in your joints, then the stronger you are, the more you will be able to put that flexibility to use in the range of movement you have at your disposal. It goes without saying that the more flexibility you have in a martial art the better.

However, people do not have the same range of flexibility throughout their bodies. Even more specifically, flexibility in one range or direction of motion at a specific joint does not imply flexibility in another. Hence that fact that you have complete ability to complete perfect front splits does not infer that you have the same control over side splits, even though it is the same hip joint that is involved. The two are not connected. A suitable flexibility exercise program, therefore, should be designed to provide good flexibility in all joints in all directions of movement, relevant to the martial art studied.

Flexibility training should be carried out in conjunction with strength training in order that the range of flexibility achieved can be used to its full potential by the muscles that move the bones in the joints. There is no truth in the belief that you must trade flexibility and strength. Supreme strength simply means supreme use of the flexibility gained through training.

However there is more than this in a martial art. Tension and relaxation are of supreme importance. Tension is equated with power and strength while relaxation is equated with speed and flexibility. Russian Cossacks used to train with their sabres by standing waist deep in water and slicing into the water with their blades. As they became weary they would learn to relax on the downstroke and tense and use their power on at the moment of strike.

The results were incredible and awesome. A Cossack could slice a man from shoulder down to saddle with one strike with only a light sabre. All due to using relaxation and power at the correct times. This can be simulated by using a large rubber eraser. About three inches by an inch square is about right. Hold it in the fist and explosively compress it. Do this using your core power. Compress hard with maximum explosion, just as if you were punching. Then relax just as quickly. Repeat this during the day - explosive compression and quick relaxation. Eventually you be able to carry out this rapid-fire tight-loose-tight sequence without thought.

This is a relaxation technique, but cannot replace the experience of the fight since fear of being hit cannot help tighten you up. However, if you do this for a few hours every day (easier than you think since the eraser can be carried in your pocket) you will find that you can relax your fist until the moment of the strike when you require maximum power.

Whether in boxing or karate, this will improve your performance and strength. Combine this with your flexibility training and you will be on the first rung of achieving greatness in karate or any other explosive martial art. Russian training methods help you to develop this total control over relaxation and explosive power in the use of your strength and flexibility.

How To Chose The Right Golf Club With That Special Feel

Buying golf clubs can be an exciting venture, almost like buying your first car or getting your first house mortgage. As with any financial investment, you want to pick something that will be useful for years to come.

Therefore your clubs should work perfectly with your swinging style. By picking clubs that are comfortable to use, you can reduce the likelihood of ever having to replace your clubs. When you go shopping for clubs, you should look for several things that will increase the comfort and quality of your purchase. These are easy things to look for, and by making a small checklist you can avoid wasting your money on something that doesn't fully satisfy your needs.

First of all, you should pay close attention to the way the golf club feels when you hold it and swing it. Pick it up at the store and give it a few test swings, and maybe even hit a few balls with it if the store will allow you to. The flex of the shaft, the weight of the club, and the length of the club will all combine to create a very unique feel for every single golf club you try, and if you try enough then you are sure to find one that feels ideal.

If you begin to notice traits that you prefer, such as a higher flex level in the shaft or a shorter length, then you can choose golf clubs based on these specific features.

The material of the golf club is a very important part of the factor. The material that the shaft is made out of depends on how much flex you want in it. Graphite shafts are usually suggested for beginners, and have a higher level of flexibility. Steel shafts are cheaper and more reliable, but much heavier.

Some people prefer to have this weight and momentum as the swing the club, but some can't get used to it. Again, you will have just have to go the club store and swing the clubs around a bit so as to get used to the feel.

The head of the golf club will need to be a very strong material. While a graphite shaft is usually a good choice for beginners, it is not a good idea to choose a similar alloy on the head of the golf club. Iron has, and probably always will be, the best choice for the golf club head.

Usually iron heads have the perfect amount of weight (though you can get this adjusted) and enough strength to be very long lasting. Even if you usually prefer golf clubs to be much lighter, you will probably find that an alloy head causes the golf club to be rather abnormal and almost unusable.

The golf club grips may not seem like much of an important part, but you would be surprised at what an adverse effect an uncomfortable grip can have on your game. Your hands may become sore from gripping it, and you will slowly become less and less comfortable with each swing.

Therefore when you are picking out a golf club, you should be very happy with the grip. If you aren't fully satisfied, you can replace the grip. You can find replacements in some club stores, and most definitely online. Don't be afraid to customize your clubs in order to make them more pleasant to use.

Fitness Tips That Can Help your Golf Game

If you're really looking for more consistancy in your golf swing then stretching exercises that are "golf specific" will help your shoulders a lot! These types of fitness stretch exercises are designed to specifically help your back and rotator cuff area.

By stretching these muscle groups on a regular basis you can make big strides in improving your swing. Some of the most common injuries to golfer's occur because of a lack of flexibility in their back. This usually affects the area of the rotator cuff. Injury prevention is another reason why it's so important for you to start some type of golf specific exercise routine right away, if you don't already have one.

Have you ever stood in front of a full length mirror and watched yourself going through your swing motion? It may sound a bit silly, but by going through the motion slowly you can actually feel the muscles that you use while performing this movement. When you get to the top of your rotation try going just a bit further and holding it for ten seconds. Don't hurt yourself or bounce, but hold it just enough to feel a slight discomfort.

Once you've done this on one side, switch sides and do it again. Do both sides twice the same way. You should notice that it's a little bit easier the second time. You should also be able to go a little bit further now that you've warmed up your muscles a bit.

Next, try stretching directly overhead. Get all the way up on the tips of your toes and reach for the sky, holding it for a few seconds. When you come down go ahead and spread your feet more than shoulder width apart and simply bend over and "hang there" loosely.

Do NOT bounce as you could possibly tear a muscle. All that you want to do is hang there and breath deeply while counting to ten by one thousands. One thousand one, one thousand two, ect. Do this a second time. Reach for the sky as far as you can, hold it for a few seconds and relax.

Spread your feet again and bend over forward and hang there while counting. You can go farther the second time, can't you? Now try it with your feet together. This is a bit more rough if you're just starting out, but remember not to bounce, but to just hang there, count to ten and repeat. If you continue this regularly there will come a point in the near future where you'll be able to easily touch your toes without bending your knees. Can you imagine the flexibilty that you'll have when you've achieved this?

Once you've done this you'll feel like a million bucks. I've had some days where my spine will just pop right back into place. It's simply a wonderful feeling and will help your golf swing a lot. If you do this on a regular basis, you'll soon see a marked improvement in your game.

There are many different exercises that are specifically for golf fitness that you might find helpful. I recommend that you either invest in a good book on golf fitness, get with a fitness coach that specializes in golf fitness or, if you have the time and the money, do both.

Groovy Golfing Accessories For The Avid Golfer

Constant innovation in the golf industry has made for many interesting inventions and advancements. Golfers have seen many benefits, including higher quality golf clubs and golf courses among many other things. In the past, golf has been seen as a slow and tiresome sport, requiring lots of work and trekking on the part of the golfer.

Well, there have been many different golf accessories released in recent years that will make everything about golfing easier. Some of them have been widely publicized, while some have slipped between the cracks. Either way, read on to find out about accessories that can make your life easier.

How about the many brands of glasses that allow you to better see the golf ball that you have just hit? They filter out most of the light that is emitted by non-golf ball objects, leaving the golf ball outlined perfectly against the grass.

If you lose your ball a lot or have trouble keeping track of balls once you hit them, these glasses can be a great investment for you so that you can continue using the same ball rather than start with a new one. They are available in some golf club stores, but most of all they are available in a number of online stores.

There are many handy devices that are meant to help you practice various parts of your stroke. Perhaps the most popular ones are the ones dealing with the putt, which is one of the toughest and most important parts of the entire golfing process.

The many golf accessories related to putting are too numerous to name, but some of the most popular include an indoor putting green that provides you with balls and advice on your putt, a putter that holds numerous golf balls inside of its shaft to dispense when needed, and many other things.

You would think that tees are about as complex as they are every going to get, but this is not the case. New types of material have made it possible for tees to have new upper portions that act as brush-like surfaces.

When the golfer strikes the ball, the club will brush right past the top of the tee without smashing it or ripping it out of the ground. It's almost like having the ball suspended in midair to hit with the club. If you want these, you will probably have to look online and buy a few dozen of them, since they are not carried at many club stores yet.

Computer scorekeepers will definitely make your life easier by keeping track of everyone's scores and doing all of the calculations for you. They come in the form of small miniature computers, no bigger than the size of a GameBoy.

The number of supported players varies from device to device, but you shouldn't have much of a problem finding one that supports the number of people that you need. There are even wristwatches with handicapping programs built into them. How is that for convenient?

Even the recycling of golf balls is more convenient now, with golf ball cleaners that you can purchase. All you have to do is pick up a bunch of old golf balls throughout the day, then drop them into the microwave sized cleaner.

In just a few minutes, the balls will be as good as new. By recycling balls in this way, you can save a huge amount of money. The cleaners are usually also capable of cleaning off the heads of golf clubs, which is a great convenience for those who are tired of cleaning the grass stains off of their clubs.

As you can see, all of these inventions have made golf much easier, and can speed up processes that would have been mundane previously. As technology continues to progress, hopefully we continue to see more golf accessories that are equally groundbreaking.

By simply glancing at cricket stats, one can tell the ability of a player. Well it is not possible to say exactly how efficient a player is on the field, but one can get a rough idea about his abilities on the field. For cricket fans, cricket stats are of utmost importance. When a match is going on live, there are several sources through which one can come to know about the score and the overall conditions of a match.

If that is not possible, watching the match live on television is another option. Through this, fans can catch up with a match which is being played anywhere in the world. One can also listen to commentary on the radio and check out the online sites to know about the latest score of the match. Whatever may be the source that they use, they will not be able to get proper cricket stats from there.

For fans that are very serious about the game they need to know about cricket stats. The cricket stats can be about their favorite player or team. Basically, cricket stats are important for fans that are more statistically inclined. Statistics can tell about many elements related to the game of cricket. Table Tennis Video Clips

Table tennis is a fast paced sport. Since the paddles and the balls are all lightweight, it is easy for players to make impressive moves.

There are two types of people who love this sport. There are fans that are impressed with the way some athletes perform while there are those who actively take part in the game.

The person can watch the game live if the tournament is in town. This can also be seen on television. When there is an unforgettable part in the match that impresses the viewer, perhaps this memory should be kept in time by getting a video.

Such things can be purchased from sporting goods store or online. This may come in VHS or DVD format that could have more than an hour of recording time.

The person will have a better chance of getting this from the web. This is because most recordings are uploaded into the Internet for future reference which is useful for those who would also like to learn from the best.

Some of these sites may not have that much or only offer video clips to the die-hard fan. This isn't so bad especially when all the person wants is that scene or that match. But those who want more will just have to keep searching for other websites.

The table tennis video clip sometimes being shown is just a preview that could entice the customer to buy one DVD or the entire collection.

Those that are content with the video clip can just play it over and over again on the computer. It will be a good idea to check if the operating system and the video software is compatible. If it is not, this should be updated for it to open the file.

Since there are a lot of matches like the World Championships and the Olympics, it will be a good idea to increase the memory of the hard drive or simply burn old files into a CD.

The best way to still learn table tennis is by working with an instructor. This professional will be able to tell the beginner the in's and outs of the game and check on one's technique.

Is there one way of doing it that is better than others? The answer is no. The way to excel in this sport will still take hours of work. The use of video clips is simply one of the many things that can help anyone become a better player.

The best people to watch are those who are ranked in the top 5 in the world and it doesn't matter what country this person came from. This individual should be credited for being one of the best in the sport and there is much to learn in terms of style and technique from this person.

After watching the video clip, the player can put what was seen into practice. This means doing the same thing through drills first then doing it in a mock game. It will also be a good idea to let someone observe if this is correctly being done by recording it so this can be reviewed later on.

This will surely give insight and guidance to those who dream about competing among the worlds' best.

What Drives NASCAR Drivers

NASCAR drivers give up time with their families, a lot of money, and potentially their lives to have a career in racing. What kind of passion motivates them?

Imagine what family time is like for a NASCAR driver. Testing begins in January and races don't end until mid-November. That's racing or practicing almost every weekend and the week is the time for race preparation. Lack of time together strains even the strongest of marriages. That's why Dale Earnhardt, Jr. has chosen to stay single for now. He says he has seen half a dozen marriages fail and expects to see another half dozen end because of racing. The long and brutal schedule doesn't leave much time for family life.

NASCAR racing is an expensive sport. Someone has to pay for entry fees, travel expenses, and racing gear. It's not uncommon to hear of parents taking out a second mortgage to get their kids to the track so they can be discovered. Being a big name in the NASCAR news is the ultimate goal for these families. For some families, like Denny Hamlin's, it has really paid off. Denny has been able to give back to his parents everything that they gave up for him to succeed and them some. Not everyone is so lucky.

Although NASCAR is cracking down on safety, racing is still a dangerous sport with the death toll at a startling 32 since the inception of NASCAR. Dale Earnhardt, Sr. left not only a nameless faceless nation of NASCAR fans in mourning on the fateful day of this death but people who loved him and called him friend. Drivers crave the speed and the thrill of racing. Do they ever feel fear when they strap into their seats and get ready to travel at speeds close to 200 mph? If they do, they're not telling.

What kind of passion compels NASCAR drivers to take the risk every time they get on the track? Does the possibility that they might lose their life ever cause them to rethink their decision to be a driver? Is it worth it? To be able to do something every day that they love and have a passion for is enough for these guys. The fever that drives these NASCAR stars is something that causes them to make sacrifices and never look back. And the millions of NASCAR fans are grateful.

The San Antonio Spurs: Making San Antonio Proud, Part 2

The San Antonio Spurs have rewarded an assortment of players for their service on the team by retiring their number into the rafters, which is an attractive accomplishment for any basketball player. Out of former Spurs players, Johnny Moore, who played in the 80s, had his # 00 retired. Moore played the position of guard and was known for overcoming Valley fever, which at the time was thought to have the capability to put an end to his career. Luckily, Moore was able to make a full recovery and wound up playing 520 games with San Antonio.

Guard James Silas (#13) may seem like an unlucky number, but for this Spurs player, it turned out to be quit lucky when his jersey was retired. Nicknamed "Captain Late" and "The Snake," he was thought as being his basketball best when games were late into play.

Sean Elliott, a forward for San Antonio played from 1989 to 1993, as well as from 1994 to 2001 had his #32 jersey sent high into the rafters of the AT&T Center in 2005. While he accomplished many achievements during his time on the team, he might be best known for the role he played in 1999, when the Spurs gained the NBA championship title. In Game 2, he walked a thin line down the sideline and set off a three-pointer to inch the Spurs to a win the Portland Trail Blazers during the Western Conference Finals.

David Robinson (#50) has always been known as one-half of the Twin Towers duo. The center played for the Spurs from 1989 to 2003 and also had his number retired. He is often referred to as one of the best centers to ever play in professional basketball. Playing from 1974 to 1985, George Gervin also earned the respect to have his #44 join the ranks of retired numbers associated with the San Antonio organization. To date, there have only been five who have been able to accomplish such a feat.

The San Antonio Spurs: Making San Antonio Proud, Part 1

The Spurs is the only major professional sports team that calls the city of San Antonio their home. For this special honor, the residents of San Antonio shower their "boys" with praise and attention. In return, the Spurs team delivers an entertaining season and also gives back to the community. This is quite evident through the efforts and endeavors associated with influential personalities, such as David Robinson (Carver Academy) and George Gervin (Youth Center).

It is believed that the impressive community involvement from players greatly contributes to creating one of the most loyal fan bases within the NBA. This fact is also obvious through the attendance records that the team set when they called the Astrodome their home court. They also broke records for having one of the biggest crowds in history during the 1999 NBA Finals. Now, they play in the AT&T Center and continue to regularly sell out seats.

Another unique bond that the city and team have with one another showcases one of the most important forms of respect. When celebrating championship runs or significant milestones within the sporting world, the residents of San Antonio march up and down the streets, honking horns and spreading pride with little disruption. When it comes to rejoicing after a Spurs-title win, a major riot has yet to take place.

Throughout the years, San Antonio has had a lot to be happy about. They have sent three players to the Basketball Hall of Fame: George Gervin, Moses Malone, and Dominique Wilkins. The first of these basketball greats inducted into the Hall of Fame was George Gervin, who was nicknamed the "Iceman" during his career. In 1996, his outstanding run with the Spurs left him retiring with the second-most blocks of any guard in the NBA.

In 2001, Moses Malone was inducted into the Hall of Fame. By the end of his career, his longevity in the game sent him playing with two members of the Berry family (Rick in Houston; 1979 and 1980) and his son (Jon in Milwaukee; 1992 and 1993). The last of the current Hall of Famers is Dominique Wilkins, who in 2006 was inducted after leading an NBA career filled with major scoring and dunking accolades.

Part of the curriculum of most schools in the United States is physical education. This could basketball, football or tennis and also the game of table tennis. The faculty in charge will teach the basics and then the student can take it from there. Those who have talent may even tryout for the varsity team to bring glory to the school.

Those who have played this game before will surely have an advantage over inexperienced players. But with practice, a newbie can be just as good with the proper training.

Some people think that the game of table tennis is simply hitting the ball with the paddle but there is more to it than that. It involves hand to eye coordination and fast reflexes given that the ball can travel to speeds up to more than 90 miles per hour.

Part of training involves reading up on the sport. This is because the sport has rules that players have to follow. Someone who is knowledgeable will surely cream those who don't know anything.

There is not enough time to learn everything there is to know about table tennis in PE class given that this only lasts an hour. Those who are serious should get help from someone after school like those offered in the youth center.

No one can play the game without the proper equipment. This means the student should buy a paddle. This is available in sporting goods store or online. In fact, the cheapest out there will only cost $20.

The first thing that will be taught is how to hold the paddle. There are two ways of doing this but normally, Americans use the handshake grip.

Since this is easy to learn, the instructor can now move on to other things such as how to serve, block and drive. Before hitting a few balls, an important part of training is doing some drills. This is because the game is all about technique and being consistent means fewer mistakes will happen.

When the instructor sees that the person is ready, this is the time that a mock game will be done. This could be someone else who is learning the sport or someone experienced. If no one is available, the instructor will be the one to do it.

Training with someone knowledgeable usually takes an hour and a half to two hours daily. Those who want to keep in shape can even practice at home on weekends by using an ordinary table and pushing this toward the wall. The other alternative will be to play with someone who also knows how to play the game.

As part of the training, the player should never forget to stretch, warm up and cool down. This will get the muscles ready for practice and during competition.

In a month or two, there might be a competition in school. This is where the student will see if all the training paid off.

The player should not feel bad for losing in the first match. The individual should also not gloat over the victory because there are still other players out there who are much better.

Whatever happens, this should simply be taken as a lesson so that errors that were committed can be corrected to achieve a better performance in the next match.

Super Bowl Tickets - Will The Bears Shock The World

If you're not one of the lucky ones to secure Super Bowl tickets for this weekend's games, you'll still be one of the hundreds of millions who will take in the game on television. However, there's nothing quite like attending a game of this stature, and below you'll see an examination of the Bears and their chances to pull the upset. Almost no one is giving them a chance, but if the following things occur, Halas Hall will need to make room for another Lombardi Trophy.

Stop the Run

The Bears' defense has gotten a lot of publicity this season, and for stretches of time over the course of the past few months, that unit has been completely dominant. However, since the injury bug hit the defense, the Bears have actually been a bit leaky with their run defense, as star DT Tommie Harris has been sorely missed. Pro Bowl S Mike Brown was also an underrated run-stopper, which means that teams have been attacking the Bears down the middle. If the Bears can contain Joseph Addai and Dominic Rhodes, it'll go a long way towards containing the Colts' offense.

Rattle Peyton Manning

The Bears' pass rush has remained fierce even with their injuries, and the pressure will be on their defensive line to generate pressure on Manning without having to bring extra defenders on the blitz. Manning is too smart to not recognize almost any blitz package, and the Bears will be risking big plays if they sell out. However, Manning has been known to throw interceptions if he doesn't get into a rhythm, and if the Bears can keep him from getting comfortable, they stand a good chance to create some much-needed big plays.

The Rex Grossman Factor

This issue has been basically beaten to death throughout the season, and many who do secure Super Bowl tickets will be most focused on the play of the Bears' much-maligned QB. When Grossman is good, he approaches top-flight status. However, when he's bad, he's a team-killing turnover machine. If Grossman is on his game, he can lead the Bears to a big point total. Basically, he has to be on his game for the Bears to have a chance. If Peyton Manning gets extra chances with the ball, he'll make the most of them.

How Possible is the Upset?

The list above may seem like a lot of requirements, but the Bears have had many games this season where all of these factors have been in place. Case in point would be the NFC Championship game against the Saints, when New Orleans' running game was corralled, QB Drew Brees was under constant pressure and Grossman did just enough in generating big plays and protecting the ball that the Bears won going away in a blowout. If the Bears can do this again, those Super Bowl tickets will be keepsakes for an historic upset.

Anatomy of a Bowling Lane

The game of bowling is played by rolling a ball along a bowling lane towards a set of ten pins, with the objective of knocking down as many pins as possible to score the most points. Bowling lanes are constructed under tight requirements to maintain their uniformity among all lanes.

There are four parts to a bowling lane. The approach leads up to the foul line at the beginning of the bowling lane. The foul line marks the end of the approach and the beginning of the lane. The lane is the majority of the planks where the ball is released and travels towards the pins. The final part of the bowling lane is the pin deck where the ten bowling pins are set. Bowling lanes were originally constructed of planks of hard maple and pine wood. However, lanes are now constructed of approved synthetic materials similar to wood. In total, the standard bowling lane is 41 to 42 inches in width and 77 feet, 10 3/16 inches in length.

The approach is a 15-foot starting point where the bowler takes aim and begins their movement forward towards the bowling lane. Two sets of approach dots assist bowlers in aligning themselves to the pins for proper aim.

The foul line is between 3/8 and 1 inch in width. This indicates the end of the approach and the beginning of the bowling lane. Players are not allowed to cross this mark; if they do, they are awarded no points in their bowl. The foul line must stretch the entire width of the lane at a minimum.

The bowling lane comprises 60-feet from the foul line to the center point of the head pin, or first pin. The bowling lane is regularly conditioned with an approved oil to reduce the friction and wear of the boards caused by the constant traffic and impact of bowling balls. Because oil is a slick substance, this causes less friction between the ball and the lane, and therefore minimizes any motion from the ball due to the spin the bowler applies to their delivery. There are several patterns by which to condition a lane, but the oil used must be the same from edge to edge of the lane. The oil is generally applied beginning at the foul line and continuing along the lane until a point several feet before the pin deck. This allows for additional friction where no oil is present to increase ball movement into the pins. The length of the bowling lane is bordered on both sides by a 9 1/4 inch gutter that catches balls that do not stay on the lane.

The pin deck is the final 2 feet, 10 3/16 inches of the bowling lane. This is the section of the lane where the pins are set equidistant from each other in equilateral triangle formations. Each pin is 12 inches apart from the next, measuring from center to center of each pin.

Maintaining uniformity from one bowling lane to the next is extremely important in order to allow a level playing field for all bowlers. Although the oil on the lanes can be pushed around the lane by rolling bowling balls, these guidelines give bowlers the confidence that each bowling lane they play on will offer the same consistency as the next.

Super Bowl Tickets - Will The Colts Get It Done

If you're looking for Super Bowl tickets to see if Peyton Manning and the Colts can get the job done and walk away with their first Lombardi Trophy in Indianapolis, you're one of millions who would jump at the chance to see the game live in Miami. The Colts are heavily favored in their match up with the Chicago Bears, but they will have to do much more than simply show up. Below are some factors that should be in place if the final score shows that the Colts are the world champions.

Keep the Demons at Bay

The AFC Championship game against the Patriots was not only a team victory for the Colts, but also a personal vindication for Peyton Manning. He had spent most of his college and professional career dealing with the reputation of not being able to "win the big one." That all flew out the window last week, though, as Manning led the Colts to an 18-point comeback against their old nemesis. If Manning can continue to slay that dragon that has haunted him, somewhat unfairly, for years, and play the game he's capable of playing, Indianapolis should win going away.

Rattle Grossman

If one had to pick a potential Super Bowl MVP, many eyes should fixate on Colts DE Dwight Freeney. If Freeney and the rest of the Colts' DL can generate pressure and keep Grossman from getting comfortable and gaining confidence, they could be the beneficiaries of several turnovers, as Grossman is prone to that when he's rushed and is forced to make instinctive decisions. Freeney is the most likely candidate to accomplish that, as when he's on fire, he's nearly unblockable, and his talents alone would be worth the price of Super Bowl tickets.

Contain Devin Hester

If the Colts have shown one overriding weakness during the playoffs, it's been on their kick coverage teams. Patriots KR Ellis Hobbs nearly turned the entire AFC Championship game around with a big return in the second half. Hobbs is a good returner, but he's no Devin Hester. If Hester hangs onto the ball, he's a threat to go the distance every time he touches the ball. That's not a good matchup with the Colts' leaky coverage teams, and if a touchdown is given up on special teams, that could wind up being the difference in the game, particularly if the Bears' offense is struggling.

Will the Colts Pull it Off?

The Colts are beginning to look like a team that's "bringing it all together" at the right time. Their horrible run defense during the regular season has seemingly been fixed, as the team has not allowed a RB to roam free in the past three games. Their QB has just exorcised his perceived demons, and their running game has been physical and punishing. If the Colts maintain their poise and don't allow the Bears to hang around, Colts' fans will be hanging their Super Bowl tickets on their walls as permanent keepsakes.

The Most Useful Golf Cart Accessory

A golf cart was initially designed in order to carry players around the course. Nowadays, carts are becoming a very popular transport. With the help of a golf cart accessory, it can turn it into a stylish and quite a comfortable vehicle. As well as golf courses, they are widely used in university campuses, neighborhoods and during different kinds of events. Installing such accessories as lift kits, alloy wheels or racing-style steering wheel can transform an ordinary golf cart into a very interesting and useful thing.

The Golf Cart Concept

Basically it's a small vehicle with three or four wheels. The first ones were designed to hold two passengers, but modern models may contain up to 8 men. Usually it's powered by electric engines. Alternatively it can have internal combustion motor.

The important thing about using them is legality. Without a set of additional golf cart accessory, they are not street-legal. In order to use one in the street, the owner has to outfit the vehicle with brake lights, seatbelts, windshield and so on. In this case, the golf cart will be allowed to use on the street with a speed limit of 25-35 mph (depends on the area).

They are also very economic. It's about ten times cheaper to drive and maintain a golf cart than a car. It's very important since the gas price has recently risen immensely.

Now you see the real benfit of owning one for yourself. How to make it even better? Lots of manufacturers produce lines of these type of accessories. Continue reading, and you will learn about the most popular and useful ones.

Golf Cart Accessory

Among others, the most popular accessory is a lift kit. Lift kits increase the cart clearance and therefore enhances its cross-country ability. However, lift kit installation may break original alignments of the headlights.

Another useful thing is a golf cart cover, which protects the vehicle in harsh weather conditions. As a rule, you should cover the golf cart in rainy and snowy weather.

Ramps and towing, designed for golf carts, will help you to puck up the vehicle into a truck. This may help to transfer a cart between courses.

Windshields protect driver and passengers from wind, rain and balls that may accidentally rush by. It is recommended to buy polycarbonate windshield, as it's stronger than a standard acrylic one.

Many accessories are designed just to make a cart look more impressive. This may be a wheel covers, racing-style pedals and steering wheel or even a hi-end stereo system.
Manufacturers' imagination is infinite and thus may help you to upgrade your cart.

Small Go Karts - Underestimated Powerhouses

Go karts come in many different sizes, but to the beginner or average Joe who doesn't know anything about karting, they usually all seem like small go karts. The fact is that they are small when compared to other vehicles they are actually the smallest vehicle that can be driven apart from a motorize scooter, but they aren't nearly as powerful. In the go kart world, small go karts are made for smaller drivers, usually meaning those who are younger. The small go karts cater to their short limbs and obviously are very much the same as a regular or large, just scaled down a fraction with a bit less power.

Small go karts can often beat the bigger karts because of their lightweight frames and also because they usually carry a lightweight driver. These two things allow a small go kart with a smaller engine to beat a bigger go kart with a bigger engine because the power to weight ratio may be better for speed in the small go karts favor. For this reason, in professional go karting, the drivers are usually on the small side, like jockey's, the lighter they are, the faster their vehicle can travel around the track therefore they can win more races. Modifications from the first go karts have included things like light weight parts, carbon fiber panels, lightweight steel frames and much more to save on weight but still keep performance. This has shaved seconds of quarter mile times and new technologies keep adding to this impressive record. Every place a pound can be saved, it is.

However small go karts aren't just useful for professional drivers. They allow young drivers to partake in the exhilarating sport at ages a low as 3 and 4. Obviously they do not drive powerful karts, but it goes give them the urge to race in the coming years, and as we all know, go karting is a stepping stone for youngsters into professional race car driving all the way up to formula1.

Many parents, especially protective mothers do not want their precious little darlings to race go karts, but having such a variety of karts like small go karts that only have limited power allows them to ease into the sport with next to no chance of incurring any sort of injury. Go karting is a recreational sport for all ages and small go karts allow even the youngest child to have a great day in a kart!

Table Tennis Techniques

Table tennis is a very interesting sport. This game is a classical example where there must be hand to eye coordination is key in beating an opponent.

The way that a player holds the paddle is the best way to learn the various techniques. Take for example the shake handgrip where the person will literally take hold of it like shaking a person's hand.

This is very easy to learn and the way it is handled will allow the player to serve, block, push and smash whenever it is needed. In fact, beginners do not only use this technique because experienced athletes still apply it during practice and in competition.

Another way of holding the paddle is called the pen grip. The individual will hold the handle as though this is like a pen. People will surely notice that a lot of Asians use this especially the Chinese who were the ones who invented it.

What is the difference between the two aside from how the paddle is held? Those who decide to use the handshake will keep the edge of the paddle always on the side. Players who use the pen grip will point this toward the ground.

These are two most popular ways of holding the paddle. Since the sport is not only about using the arms, proper technique is also developed with fancy footwork. This is achieved based on the stance one takes either being in the offense or defense.

It takes time to master one of the other. Perhaps when the individual's skills have improved, this will be a good time to learn the second one then see which one is better when playing in a game.

Since the ball may come in any direction, the player should crouch a little keeping the hands close to the shoulders. This should be relaxed at all times since tension will build up later on as the game goes on further.

The person also does not have to run from one end of the table to the other unlike tennis but faster movement can be done with knees bent and the legs a few feet apart.

It will take some time to achieve proper timing. The player will realize later on that a miss will happen when the reaction is either too fast or slow.

While on the offense, the speed drive works best. The player starts the momentum by trading a few volleys and when the timing is right, a smash will be sent to the other side thus adding one more point on the scoreboard.

Of course, the other player can do the same thing so it is best to be prepared for it that is known as the counter drive. The player will just have to take the initiative when to smash it again to the other side but be prepared just in case the opponent is able to anticipate this at the same time.

Some matches will even have both players standing a few feet away from the table. This is called a lob given that both sides are trading some powerful shots. There is a way to end this and it goes back to the smash.

It will be a good idea to also learn how to block so that the energy given by the other player is returned in kind by simply putting the paddle up.
